JERMAINE DUPRI REUNITES THE JACKSON 5 FOR ATL NEW YEAR'S EVENT

In a surprise move, Jermaine Dupri has announced he will be bringing the reunited Jackson 5 (Michael, Marlon, Jermaine, Tito and Jackie) to his Studio 72 club in Atlanta for what is being dubbed "A Jackson 5 New Year's Eve." Dupri made the announcement over the weekend on V-103. Listen to the announcement here. Reports suggest that Jermaine Dupri will empty Studio 72 at some point on New Year's Eve so the Jackson 5 can descend from a helicopter and enter the club along with Dupri and his girlfriend Janet Jackson. YEP, THE JACKSON 5 ARE OFFICIALLY ANNOUNCING A COMEBACK!

Jermaine Jackson has confirmed rumors The Jackson 5 will attempt to re-live their youth on a reunion tour in 2008, complete with the King of Pop, Michael.

Jermaine revealed the group has been planning a comeback for years, but the project was delayed by Michael’s child abuse trial.

He says, “Michael will be involved. We feel we have to do it one more time. We owe that to the fans and to the public.

“There’s been so much going on, getting over all the hurdles that we all were faced with during Michael’s trial. But we are stronger than ever.”

The 53-year-old has also hinted at the band releasing some new material, saying that the group was “in the studio at the moment”.
