The MTV News Hip-Hop Brain trust sat down at the round table this past Monday night for a fourth time to discuss the top ten “Hottest MCs in the Game Right Now.” We analyzed roughly the last year and discussed who we thought was running things based on quality material, success, impact, skills, swagger and of few other requirements. In the end though, in my humble opinion, we made a couple choices as collective that defied logic!
If you thought Biggie not being crowned the “Greatest MC of All Time” or the Beastie Boys not making the “Greatest Groups” list was outrageous, wait til you see what happens this go ’round.
The program airs on Sunday July 29 on MTV. The time is still TBD, but don’t worry, we’ll be promoting the heck out of this one. Look for the feature to hit mtvnews.com starting July 23.
