Lil Wayne’s “The Carter 3″ is just about finished with no leaks…yet. The first single is called “Showtime” and features Young Money artist, Chanell, and produced by YM’s Diesel. A video is set to be shot and directed by either Gil Green or Benny Boom. There already is a remix laid down wich features Lil Boosie and Brisco.
“The Carter III is coming in 2008. I don’t want to give no months, no date,” Wayne says. The Carter 3 features production from Timbaland, Kanye West, Just Blaze, Cool & Dre, formal comrad-turned-rival, Manny Fresh and even Weezy himself. Hopefully Wayne’s production efforts are stronger than his laughable guitar strums on “Leather So Soft.”
Wayne is currently writing for Dr. Dre and wants to “work” with Mariah Carey. “I have never done nothing with Mariah Carey, and I would like to, because I love older women,” Wayne said. Mariah Carey, she might need a dude like me. I do my thing.”
